So I'm not sure if we decided on a day or even month for our next book club. If we did, I was so not mentally there. I will be honest and tell you all that I have not made it very far yet. How is everyone else doing? Should we shoot for sometime in April? Did we also decide on who is hosting? I do remember I'm leading the discussion, which will be really sad if I don't even read the book... Good luck to you all!

Feedback and This Month's Book

Hi ladies,

How is everyone? I miss seeing your smiling faces and reading books with you! I miss it so much I am starting up a book club here in Cali. Our first meeting is tomorrow-Monday (well, today actually since it's almost 1 am! Yikes! Guess I should hit the sack. But first....).

In light of my second book club (obviously the Burton Babes are the BEST, and #1 in my heart), I was just wondering what you all think of the blog. Do you like it, use it, etc. Do you think it's a good way of communicating, or is email just easier? Also, what do you like best about the book club? What things are you incorporating in the meetings that you like?

Also, what is the book for this month? I can't seem to find the info in my overflowing inbox. If someone could post and let me know that would be awesome. I am trying to stay up with you guys, even though I don't post about the books. I'll try to be better, so I can feel involved.

Hello! I just sent an email to remind everyone about book club at my house next Wednesday. We're meeting the 28th at 6:30. My address is 1272 Glengyle Ct in Murray. I live in a townhouse in the Glencoe community, which is just off of 1300 W and at about 5900 S. If anyone needs help getting to my house the night of our meeting, please call me! I look forward to seeing everyone again!

Okay, so I looked at my calendar and talked to James...I think the best date for me to host the meeting is going to be January 28th. It's a Wednesday night. What does everyone think of that? Would that work? If not, I could host the 30th (but that's a Friday night), or Saturday afternoon, the 31st. What do you think? I think the 28th would be great!

Aleisha, thank you so much for bringing Sunshine to our meeting. Welcome Sunshine. I am so excited to have you in our club! You are so cute and bring great insights and energy to our group.

The book for our next meeting is called: The Cold Sassy Tree by Olive Ann Burns.
We will be meeting the last week in January; exact date to be announced at a later time.
Aleisha is hosting and will send out an email reminder about a week before our next meeting. We also decided that one email reminder will be sent before each meeting by the person hosting the current meeting. That way we'll all remember to check the blog for updates, etc.

Okay I think that's it. Look in your email for a current list of books and contact info for each group member. I've also updated the side column to reflect some of the books we talked about adding to our list.

Aleisha, if you could please email me Sunshine's informationt to my work email I'll get her added to the list. Thanks!!
